St. Ann's P.E.I Original Church Lobster suppers has been established
since 1964. We are designated as one of the "World's Famous Lobster
Suppers". We serve a 5 Course meal which includes 3 appetizers,
Entrée and a homemade Dessert. Homemade Seafood Chowder or
a Homemade Soup alternate is your first appetizer. Your second appetizer
is a bowl of Fresh P.E.I. Blue Mussels steamed to perfection, served
with hot melted butter, a green salad with choice of dressing is served
as the 3rd appetizer. Your 4th Course is your choice of Entrée,
Lobster is king, but we also feature a choice of 9 different Entrées,
5th Course is our homemade dessert are made daily on site, and will
sure to satisfy. We also have a great Children’s Menu. We serve
meals that have made us world renowned. Our excellent quality home
cooked food and friendly and professional service makes dining at
St. Ann's an enjoyable experience!
St. Ann's Church, located in Hope River, Prince Edward Island,
3 miles from Stanley bridge on Route 6. The present church that
is now the home of the St. Ann’s Lobster Suppers was constructed
in 1954 by Father E. Dalton; it is the seventh in less than 130
years!
In 1963, Father Denis Gallant, the pastor at the time, decided
to test run serving Lobster Dinners in the basement of the church
to raise money to help pay off the existing $35,000 mortgage. By
1964 the basement of the church was fully operational holding 100
customers per sitting and has continued serving till this day, from
Mid June till Late September. Hours of operation are 4:00pm till
8:30pm Monday thru Saturday.
